Guys and Dolls

Based on characters created by DAMON RUNYON
Book by JO SWERLING and ABE BURROWS, Music and Lyrics by FRANK LOESSER

Three chronic gamblers find themselves in a pickle, and desperate for money. Nathan Detroit makes a large bet with high roller Sky Masterson that he can’t take a doll of Nathan’s choosing to Havana. His finger falls on missionary Miss Sarah Brown, and as events unfold, it becomes clear that there’s more than just money on the line.

I was on vacation in London when I found out I'd be doing this show. I took advantage of the opportunity to check out the revival of Guys and Dolls - starring Patrick Swayze as Nathan Detroit - that had opened not long before. A lot of my set was inspired from the West End, such as the red breakout show curtain, and the marquee lights.
